Bio: Mr. Essig has been serving as the principal and 6th-8th grade teacher at Resurrection Lutheran School since 2013. He grew up in Lewiston, MN and attended grade school at St. John's Lutheran School in Lewiston. He attended high school at Onalaska Luther in Onalaska, Wisconsin and graduated in 2009. After high school, Mr. Essig attended Martin Luther College in New Ulm, Minnesota and graduated in 2013 with a bachelor’s degree in elementary education. Outside of school, he enjoys spending time with his wife, Katelyn, coaching, and playing sports. Mr. Essig is a lifetime Chicago Cubs fan and is happy to say that they are finally World Series Champions! Go Cubs!

Bio: Mrs. Bauman is currently serving as the fourth and fifth grade teacher at Resurrection Lutheran School. She comes from a family of called workers and has moved around quite a bit - Flagstaff, Atlanta, and Milwaukee have all been home! In 2010, she graduated from Luther Preparatory School in Watertown, WI and in 2014 earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education from Martin Luther College in New Ulm, MN. Since graduating, Mrs. Bauman has spent two years as a teacher and dorm supervisor at California Lutheran High School in Wildomar, CA. Last year, after moving to Naperville with her husband Tim, she worked as a Special Education Teaching Assistant in Indian Prairie School District 204. Beyond instructing the next generation of our society’s leaders, she enjoys reading, traveling, hiking, and playing soccer! Mrs. Bauman is so grateful for the opportunity to let Christ’s light shine in her classroom!

Bio: Miss Johnson is currently the second and third grade teacher at Resurrection Lutheran School. She grew up in Sugar Grove and currently resides in Elburn. She graduated in May 2016 from Northern Illinois University with a Master’s Degree in Elementary Education. She has been teaching children for the past 12 years in both a daycare and preschool setting. Last year she taught Early Childhood at Kaneland High School. Outside of teaching she loves to make digital scrapbooks, spend time with family and friends, and travel. Miss Johnson is grateful to have the opportunity to help your child grow spiritually, intellectually, socially, emotionally, and physically this year!

Bio: Mrs. Essig is currently serving as the kindergarten and first grade teacher at Resurrection Lutheran School. She was born in New Ulm, Minnesota, but most of her childhood years she lived in Manitowoc, Wisconsin, not far from the home of the Green Bay Packers. Mrs. Essig attended Martin Luther College in New Ulm, Minnesota and graduated with a bachelor’s degree in elementary education. Her ministry began at St. John Lutheran School in Redwood Falls, Minnesota where she taught first and second grade for four years. Mrs. Essig then married her husband, Bradley, and moved to Illinois. She enjoys playing, watching, and coaching sports, and spending time with family and friends. She loves working with children and learning from them! Mrs. Essig considers it a true honor to share Jesus and his love with her students each and every day.
