(Positions will display when you pick this option)No, I am unable to help.I am unable to be there in person, but am willing to donate/loan items or provide healthy snacks/sandwiches/etc. (A "supplies needed" list will be available shortly)The positions available and needed are: Tribe Leader (5): Lead your small group (named after one of the 12 Tribes of Israel) in fun activities (with the help of an Assistant Tribe Leader) that help them make the connection between what they learn in Babylon and their everyday lives as you sing at the Celebration opening and closing, play at Palace Playground, talk with shopkeepers in the Marketplace, and visit Daniel’s palace room. Choices available: K-5 Tribe Leader or a Pre-K Tribe Leader. Assistant Tribe Leader (5-10 6th Grade thru High School): Assist the Tribe Leaders and participate with your Tribe as you sing at the Celebration opening and closing, play at Palace Playground, talk with shopkeepers in the Marketplace, and visit Daniel’s palace room. Shopkeeper/Crafts (4-6): Run a Babylon Marketplace shop where you will "sell" crafts to children and assist them in making the item, while giving them some background information about the craft/time period. Sample shops include: Jewelry Bazaar, Astronomy School, Hanging Gardens Nursery, Mosaic Studio, Music Shop, or your idea! Celebration Leader (1-2): Lead the daily singing celebrations at the beginning and end of each day. Share the excitement as children show up and leave for the day. Assorted Drama Roles/Additional Misc. Help: Daniel's Friends: Become one of Daniel's friends (Shadrach, Meshach, or Abednego) and roam the marketplace and engage people in conversation. You can assist at the marketplace shops as extra help while you help the children understand how courageous these young men were! Short Daily Drama Roles: These roles show up only one day of the week, during the marketplace time and only have a few short lines to learn. Ettu: A busy, harried mother whose eldest daughter recently married and moved away. Life without her daughter is proving to be more of a change than she was ready for. (Monday) Ku-Aya: A bit of a busybody who thinks her opinions - and children, household, and husband - are a step above everyone else's. (Monday) Iltani: A teenage girl who's watching her brothers and sisters go hungry. After her father died while serving in the King's army, her mother has been too proud to ask for help... or food. She thinks it's time to take matters into her own hands. (Tuesday) Zakiti: The owner of the Royal Food Court shop who has seen their share of thieves, but is surprised when a thief turns out to be someone they know. (Tuesday) Rihat: A veteran servant in the King's palace as an artist who has recently made a mistake while attempting to immortalize the King and make him look fabulous. Now the King wants their head! (Wednesday and Friday) Sargon: The palace guard who is the King's go-to person when he wants to make sure something is done properly and fast. (Wednesday) Balashi: An average Babylonian teenage boy who has become friends with a few of the captives from Jerusalem. His old friends don't approve of his new ones and he's finding that it's lonely to stand up for what you believe in. (Thursday) Ia: A woman in Babylon who isn't sure about making friends with the captives from Jerusalem, but who doesn't like to see anyone bullied! (Thursday) Bullies: 2-5 teens who will run through the marketplace, teasing Balashi. (Thursday) Rihat: Angry King Nebuchadnezzar had them brought in after an unflattering picture was created of him, but a shopkeeper stood up for them and the King let them go! (Wednesday and Friday) Kuri: Rihat's fellow artisan in Babylon. It took a lot of courage for Kuri to stand up to the King.
